For buildings less than 100,000 square feet, the Express Building Tune-Up Survey identifies easy-to-fix opportunities to reduce energy consumption and enhance building performance. Examples of recommended corrective measures often include:
• Scheduling programmable thermostats
• Adjusting/adding economizers
• Repairing failed actuators
• Adjusting minimum outside air percentages
(RCx) - Retrocommissioning Study
For building greater than 100,000 square feet, the Retrocommissioning Studies identify strategies to optimize existing building systems and enhance operator training to achieve outstanding energy efficiency results without capital investments. Examples of recommended corrective measures include:
• Optimizing economizer and ventilation controls
• Improving equipment sequencing and scheduling
• Optimizing fans and pumps
